AIMS
This curriculum aims to give students an opportunity to understand the history and development of local, national and global issues in various aspects and develop their understanding of themselves as individuals and as social beings. It also helps to equip students to meet daily and future challenges, reflect on their own values and attitudes in a society with diverse culture and values, make informed and responsible decisions on personal and social issues as well as shoulder civic responsibilities.
The aims of this curriculum are to enable students to:
Discover
discover where they stand in the contemporary world through understanding the origins and development of modern events.
Face
face challenges such as population explosion, environmental pollution, economic transition and globalisation.
Develop
develop the skills of critical thinking, making sound and balanced judgments and effective communication through exploring environmental, historical, and social issues.
Cultivate
cultivate in sensitivity, interests and concern for local, national and global issues.
